How Kidy.ch Built a Scalable SaaS Platform in Just 6 Months with Bumps

Product & Tech

When Kidy.ch approached us, it was just an idea—a vision to revolutionize childcare in Switzerland by seamlessly connecting families with trusted nannies. No product, no infrastructure, no business model. The challenge was immense: build a fully operational SaaS platform, automate key processes, and generate revenue in record time. In six months, we took Kidy from concept to a scalable, revenue-generating platform, proving that with the right execution, a bold idea can become a thriving business.

About the project

Building a marketplace SaaS is about much more than just design. Scalability, automation, and efficient workflows are the real challenges. Kidy needed to go from zero to a functional, market-ready product while proving its ability to attract users and sustain a viable revenue model.

Without a structured approach, months could be wasted developing features that didn’t address user needs. Instead, we focused on speed, validation, and automation, ensuring that every step of development was aligned with business objectives.

Our solution

We started with in-depth strategy workshops to map out user needs, analyze market opportunities, and identify what would make Kidy stand out. Instead of spending months coding from scratch, we built an automated MVP using no-code and API-first integrations, combining Make for automation, HubSpot for CRM, DocuSign for contracts, and Slack for internal workflows. This allowed us to launch fast and refine based on real user feedback.

Acquisition was critical from day one. We deployed a full-funnel marketing strategy with targeted Meta Ads and Google Ads, optimizing for conversion through behavioral tracking in Mixpanel and Hotjar. As the first families and nannies signed up, we fine-tuned the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth experience that encouraged retention.

With early traction secured, we transitioned from a semi-automated workflow to a fully scalable SaaS platform. The co-family system was introduced, allowing multiple families to share a nanny, reducing costs while increasing LTV per user. Payroll management, contract handling, and payment processing were fully automated, eliminating manual bottlenecks. On the product side, we enhanced matching intelligence with AI-driven recommendations, integrated messaging to facilitate communication, and optimized the entire user experience.

Results

In just a few weeks, Kidy onboarded its first 50 nannies and 15 paying families, validating both demand and monetization. The hybrid revenue model, combining placement fees and monthly subscriptions, proved to be a strong foundation for growth.

With 200 leads currently integrating, the platform has successfully transitioned from a simple MVP to a fully operational SaaS business. The introduction of the co-family system tripled customer LTV, strengthening the long-term business model.

Beyond growth, automation and modular architecture have positioned Kidy for seamless scalability, allowing for continuous improvements without slowing momentum.
